BSCI stands for Business Social Compliance Initiative and aims to improve working conditions. It offers a common code of conduct and a roadmap to companies that applies to all sectors and production countries.
The code of conduct is based on international treaties that protect workers' rights. Based on audit tools, factories are assessed and checked whether they meet the standards in order to receive a certificate.

The LWG is constantly drawing up guidelines and protocols to make the tanning process as environmentally friendly as possible.
