We at Ted Louise want to offer products that contribute to a better world. Our products are produced ethically and produced as sustainable as possible. We only use full grain leather, and our cow skins are carefully selected and processed in India. Our production is located in India at a family business where they have been working with great passion for more than 20 years on making beautiful high-quality leather accessories. We have chosen our manufacturer with care. Our manufacturer has been carefully selected so that it contributes to a better world both for the employees and in the production process. Our supplier has a SA-8000 certificate and is a member of the Leather Working Group.

All our suppliers are SA-8000 certificated. This certification demonstrates the commitment to ethical business and respect for human right throughout the production and supply chain.
The SA-8000 is based on the principles of international human rights norms and conventions set by the Internatiol Labour Organization (ILO), The United Nation(UN), and national laws. It focus on key areas such as:
- Fair and safe work conditions
- Non child or forced labor
- Fair working hours and wages
- Non discrimination and equal opportunities
Guidelines and protocols
Leather working group
The Leather Working Group is responsible for the world's leading environmental certification for the leather industry. The LWG is constantly drawing up guidelines and protocols to make the tanning process as environmentally friendly as possible. Based on audit tools, factories are assessed and checked whether they meet the standards in order to receive a certificate.
